I don’t provide personal investment advice and I am not a qualified licensed investment advisor. Tokens at your own risk and I do not take responsibility for it.

This can include setting code use, distribution, selection, auditing, and other policies, as well as training developers, ensuring legal compliance, and promoting and building community engagement that benefits the organization strategically. Nephio enables faster onboarding of network functions to production including provisioning of underlying cloud infrastructure with a true cloud native approach, and reduces costs of adoption of cloud and network infrastructure. Over the last few months, Canonical has been working closely with FINOS and its community members to offer a consistent way to deploy and manage enterprise applications using Juju and Charmed Operators with a focus on Day 2 operations. Founded in 2000, the Linux Foundation is supported by more than 1,000 members and is the world’s leading home for collaboration on open source software, open standards, open data, and open hardware. Linux Foundation’s projects are critical to the world’s infrastructure including Linux, Kubernetes, Node.js, and more. A core belief that I have – and also that those at the Linux Foundation share – is that a diverse group of people coming together brings better outcomes, bigger innovations, and a more sustainable project. We at the Open Mainframe Project are truly fortunate to have such a global and diverse community, and with our hosted projects and working groups thriving, we see the impact of that diverse collaborative effort. LightSpeed Studios is one of the world’s most innovative and successful game developers, with teams around the world. Founded in 2008, LightSpeed Studios has created over 50 games across multiple platforms and genres for over 4 billion registered users. To help people with these challenges, the TODO Group is introducing a new framework for in-person OSPO workshops. And it is available to you – all Linux Foundation members and projects have access to LFX. As the communities and the projects they support grow and mature, active community engagement to recruit, mentor, and enable an active community is critical.

  • With several working groups already active, the initial technology contributions will come in the form of the Infrastructure Programmer Development Kit that is now an official sub-project of OPI governed by the Linux Foundation.
  • “As a company helping Telcos to onboard their 5G network functions, we are aware of the current challenges they are facing.
  • I confess I am a lifelong learner – addicted to learning about new things and gaining new skills.

I don’t regret on any of my choices – I rather feel I am truly blessed. However, growing up with the culture where ‘Hyo’ is one of the most important virtue in Korea – I am not doing it right as I can’t live near my parents and help them when they needed me. My dad was born in mid 1930’s from the Southern region of Korea, when Korea stole my money was still under Japanese colonial territory. His family endured a lot of hardships, loss and scary moments because they had to survive through the Korean War. In fact, one of his stories that he tells often is about how, when he was just 12-years old, he and his brother escaped a massacre that happened at their small town.

Juju and Charmed Operators Accelerating FINOS Open Source Projects Adoption

It was relatable and magical and wonderful to see how they focused on how three generations of a family dealt with biggest challenges of their times. After watching the first season, I couldn’t help thinking about my parents and my own family here in U.S. In open source projects, it’s not a zero-sum game but a positive-sum game – open source development is based on the idea that, collectively, we are smarter than any one of us. That mindset is strong in our communities, and helps create that welcome space for all. These are just a small sampling of the open source software projects that enterprises are participating in.
